"You must kill the bastards if they threaten you or the community. You must not worry about the regulations. That is my responsibility. Your responsibility is to serve and protect," were the fiery words of Deputy Safety and Security Minister Susan Shabangu at an anti-crime imbizo in Pretoria West on Wednesday.
Shabangu, who received a standing ovation, was responding to questions on what police and the government were doing to curb crime.

I want this woman as president. This is EXACTLY the no-nonsense approach we need.... after she's finished with street crime, can we set her on the corrupt bastards in parliament? Then onto the roads agencies, Eskom......
My favourite
blogger (and cartoonist) also had a few words to say on this
topic.
Anybody who condones outright violence between two factions of people is doing nothing but further perpetuating an already increasingly dire situation. Calling for arms to be fired against criminals will do nothing more than give those very people more rights than they previously had. as they are now marked for death they to will now have a heightened sense of aggression in them as they know if they see the police then they are going to be shot, this is a brilliant way to make the police force an even more conspicuous than they previously where.
If the force is told to shoot on site and they are always the last to see, then they will now certainly be the first to die.
Brilliance as always by our half wit politicians and as always, brilliance on the part of the mindless sheep that agree with anything said to them by the government without stopping to think exactly what they are saying.
well done boys, why not simply state on your website that you are unable to have an opinion of your own, but would rather agree with an opinion that counters a belief you don’t agree with, regardless of whether or not that opinion will further degredate the malignant society we already currently live in.
